Exercise
So, for the first time since moving house I've finally got the basement up to a state where I can do exercise down there; space for the elliptical trainer, a TV and DVD player, and an aircon to keep the room bearable. Of course, getting home at 6:45 and then needing to eat (hungry) means I started exercising at around 8:20 or something like that. This wastes mosts of the evening, I guess!
Because it's been 7 or 8 weeks I found it a little hard to start with and at the 30 minute mark my legs felt a little weak, and I guess I went a little slow, but I made it all the way through a TV episode. Although my heart rate started at around 90bpm ('cos I'd just gone up and down stairs to get stuff ready) it took a minute or so for my heart rate to rise enough to get into the target zone. That's longer than it used to take, which seems like a good thing!
Anyway, 5.5 miles, 42:47 (so 7.7mph - not too slow!), 141bpm, 41:29 in zone, 657 Kcals
