Winning at backgammon

swehWhen I'm bored (ie most days while commuting; waiting for a hair cut; at the doctor's etc) I tend to play Backgammon on my cellphone. I've played hundreds and hundreds of games. I play at the hardest setting on a 'first to fifteen' basis. Only once have I managed to whitewash the computer.
More recently I've changed the config so it no longer tells me the point count for each player, which makes it harder to determine when to double or accept doubles. I'm still winning most contests, but not all (I'm sure a recent update is biasing the dice towards the computer!)
