Brain dead

For the past few days I've been waking up extremely utterly tired and barely able to function (worse than normal, for me).

Last night I was running a new ethernet cable around my living room; the only USB wireless adapter I have is 802.11b and while it works, it's slow and so instead of getting an 11g adapter I just decided to run an ethernet cable. I already had a 100baseT switch in the room (for the TiVo and MediaMVP) and 250ft of Cat5e cable was only $30 at J&R (I already have a crimper), so.... I'd moved all the pictures and speakers out of the way so I didn't knock them over. I got the cable all done, put the stuff back and then leant over to plug the end into the switch and somehow managed to nudge the frameless picture holder on top of the TV, which fell over and smashed. Guh. At least the ethernet worked!

This morning, as I was putting clean stuff away, I almost dropped a mug.

I did bang my hand on the cupboard door.

Forgot to do something for Tori that was quite important.

Spilt milk over me while eating my breakfast.

Can I have these two days as a do-over?

I had a voucher for Barnes and Noble which gave me 15% off anything I wanted. On top of my 10% members discount that'd be a nice saving. I'd been looking for some time at Star Trek TOS but at $342 (Amazon price and B&N price) it was a bit much... but with 23.5% off it was a bit more reasonable at $262. Still a bit more than I wanted to pay, but I didn't think I'd get much better.

The voucher runs out on Sunday, so at lunch time I went to the B&N close to the office.

And they didn't have it.

But they did have the 3 series individually, at $130 each.

$390, and I'd only get the 15% on one of them.

Ugh.

BUT.

They had a buy two get one free offer on anything in the store. Oh!

So, Original cost: 3 @ $130 == $390
Buy two, get one free, so now $260 (saving $130)
They were marked as 10% off, so now $234 (saving $156)
I then used the 15% voucher on one (reducing it to $99.45) so now $216.45 (saving $173.55)
And then I used my B&N card for another 10% off, so the total was $194.79 (saving $195.21)

I like savings!

[ EDIT: Ok, the numbers are a few cents out, because really it was $129.99 and not $130; shuddup ]
