The joys of having parents on the internet
Feb. 7th, 2007 01:32 pmLast year I bought my parents a new computer for Christmas (and so replacing the old Win95 machine with a much better XP setup, and matching the laptop I got him a year or so earlier). I also got their DSL working, with wireless, and set them up with googlemail. And Dad bought a new printer, which I got working for him.
Since then most of the emails I've received have been complaints; either the DSL isn't working properly, or the virus scanner is complaining, or the printer has stopped, or (the latest) complaining that the SeaMonkey window was a small box in the corner of the screen rather than being full sized. In the middle of it he says "Oh, Mum just fixed it". For crying out loud; it was just a resized window... something he's complained about in the past and knows how to "fix".
I don't do tech support. I sure don't do Windows. And yet I get all these emails... Gah!
I'm afraid I sent them a pissy email in reply today. Ah well.
