swehWhy yes, I did damage the pins on the CPU. Two pins bent beyond (my skill to) repair (one has now snapped off in my hamfisted attempts to straighten it).
Fuck.
According to some Intel docs I've seen, these pins are "ground" pins. I wonder if the chip will work properly without them grounded, or if I can just connect them to the ground pin next to it?
Or maybe I should spend $$$ on a new CPU.
