From now on, distances will be as recorded by the elliptical, times, average heart rate, Kcals etc all from the HRM.
Just for an experiment, I pushed further and when one episode of Buffy fnished, I went onto the next. At 5.8 miles I was getting a fair bit of alarm from the HRM telling me the bpm was too high, so I decided to finished at 6miles.
6 miles, 51:35 mins (so av 7mph), av 153bpm, 45:59 in-zone, 923Kcals.
I wonder just how long a duration I could last. I wonder if I should push harder. Ok, I need to stay within bpm zone, so the only pushing I can do is duration.
On the down side, I'm not 100% sure I put the machine together properly; I tried measuring my heart rate with the in-built handles and it displayed numbers approx 50% of what the Polar HRM read. I guess I should check the elctrical wiring, but on the other hand I don't really care that much since I have the HRM, which is the best guide to exercise done. Also the machine started making a little grinding noise after 45 minutes; I wonder if it needs regreasing already!
