Silly expenses

So I ordered some curtains for the living room and dining room. JCPenny were having a 50% sale. But the price was still a little high, so the sales woman offered be 60% and then an extra 10% and if I signed up for the JCP credit card, another 10%. So I only paid 32% of the original price.

I know this is merely an indication of just how much mark-up there is on store stuff, but I do like seeing receipts where the "you saved" value is twice the amount I ended up paying!
