Cold house...
Nov. 19th, 2005 11:59 pmWell, not really cold but drafty!
It seems the outside walls are particularly cold, so in the living room this is causing a draft to come from the wall with the window and over my feet and legs. If I'd known this then I would have got heavy drape curtains that went all the way to the floor rather than stopping just below the window. *sigh*
The room itself is very warm (I set the thermostat to 78 and it different rooms range from 74 through 77), but that draft could be very annoying!
When the heating is on, the air currents from the radiators overpower the faint draft. But once the house is up to temperature, that draft is a killer.
Cold feet! Even with socks and slippers on.
