Fun I didn't get in England
Feb. 12th, 2006 10:08 pmThis weekend we were going to a party so I stayed with Tori on Friday night, went to the party Saturday night, and returned home Sunday evening.
Starting around 3pm on Saturday, getting bad around midnight, finishing around 3pm on Sunday it snowed. Got home and found that the sidewalk had been cleared... but only partially. I could get from the street corner to the bottom of my house steps, but 95% of the sidewalk in front of my house had not been cleared. So at 6:30pm I got to clean 12 inches of snow off the steps of my house and the sidewalk out front. Fortunately I don't have a car, so I've left the driveway untouched.
Did I say fun? Bluh!! I hate this weather :-( Never had to do this in England!
EDIT: On second thoughts it was closer to 18->20 inches of snow; it almost came up to my knees. I only thought to verify that because they reckon 26.9 inches fell on New York City.
