swehI'm trying to sort out my own sync solution for my Windows Mobile 5 based phone. At the moment I'm using a free third party solution, but they're not the most reliable in the world and I don't like having my data on some random providers Exchange servers. So I really want to sync my address book and calendar to my Linux machine. Ideally also email; push email would be wonderful but I can poll, if necessary.
Oh look! Funambol is meant to do all this.
But I must be a fucking idiot; I can't make head nor tail out of it! The Admin guide is incomprehensable (it seems to be mostly screen shots with "helpful" text repeating the same jargon as the screen shot, so it implies knowing Java database jargon); the quick start guide leaves my stuff open for world readable access...
Has anyone used Funambol and can provide me with a coherent secure morons guide? Because I feel like a bloody moron!
