Thank you so much
Apr. 26th, 2007 01:13 pmToday appears to be Bring your brats to work to prove you can spawn day, with the attendent annoyance that this will cause others.
At least this place appears to have corralled them into one area so they haven't impacted me too badly (just in the canteen); previous years were a lot worse with kids running around and making a noise. Grr.
But, oh, did it cause commuting pain this morning... Not only were the trains extra crowded but the kids (some sullen, some kicking seats, some crying) have no idea of where to go, how to avoid people, how to commute. One guy had 3 girls of various ages that he was herding along. Of course they delayed everyone else.
What's the point? What is a 10 year old going to learn about office life by following his dad around? Heck, if any of them make it through university they won't be here for another 12 years (unless they become the shoe-shine boy). And they bring younger ones as well.
Who created such a waste of productivity? And why did they think it was a good idea?! Bleh.
