The problems of being a bibliophile

swehFor Christmas my parents sent me the boxes I had in the UK (30 of them; I dunno how much that would have cost, but I doubt it was cheap!), of which 15 of them are Sci Fi books (about 850 of them). On top of that my brother bought me 11 new books from my Amazon wish list. With the 210 or so I already had, that makes 1085 books. This doesn't quite fit on 2 book shelves! Yikes! So at the moment they're all piled up on their ends, double stacked and totally unreadable. I put the books Jason got me on top of the bookshelves so I least I can get to the unread ones!
I see an Ikea trip in the near future. Unfortunately they don't seem to do the colour of my existing shelves, so I think 4 "Billy" bookshelves, plus 4 height extensions plus 8 extra shelves (2 per bookshelf)... that should give me around 1080 feet of shelf space which might be enough. I think I'll get these in white, though, since Ikea will always have white shelves.
