It's been a while since I've done real exercise on the machine, but in the mean time i've spent 6 hours walking around the Bronx zoo, a while in Tori's pool (which is cold enough to set your heart racing just looking at it; OK, 70F isn't cold but it's cold enough) and so on.
I oiled the machine, but it's still making funny noise when it warms up (a rattling sort of noise as if something is loose). I guess I need someone else to use it and make it rattle and then I listen for where the rattling is coming from. If it's just the front wheels then I don't care, but if it's inside the mechanism... ugh.
The HRM didn't beep at me until 40 minutes in. I wasn't really checking what speed I was doing; I'm guessing around 7.8mph av. I was sweating a lot but that's also because it's warm out :-)
Anyway...
5.5miles, 41:17 (8.0mph av), 141bpm, 40:27 in zone, 657 Kcals.
Wow, those numbers are actually better than I expected! Most of the 50 seconds out of zone were at the beginning as the heart was ramping up.
