I tried to use the ssh client today on the train to read usenet. At 53 columns it's pretty painful. And kept stopping/starting. It was slower than dialup, and that was meant to be on the EDGE network.
I lost network around the Harmon Cove area and didn't get it back until I was at Secacus. No signal was detected while in the tunnel leading into Penn (my verizon phone keeps signal all the way, unlike the Hoboken tunnels where it loses signal).
Final nail, I think! It doesn't pick up a signal at my desk! Madison and 48th on 33rd floor and no signal. My Verizon phone has 5 bars. WTF?
Tonight I dig up the RMA paperwork, I think!
